I recently was commissioned to create a gold ring using a customer's own scrap gold, an opal, and some garnet and gold earrings with sentimental value. The gold was a mix of broken and worn pieces. the opal was loose and 12mm in diameter. The customer wanted a bold statement ring with a hammered and textured finish.
