Botanical Pendants - Deadly Nightshade

Inspired by the botanical drawings from Köhler's medicinal plants, this sterling silver pendant features Deadly Nightshade. It is also known as Belladonna, which has an infamous reputation. It has been used as a beauty aid, in folk medicine and as a deadly poison. 

I make each pendant by melting recycled sterling silver and reforming it into a rough oval. each pendant is unique. Etched on the front with a botanical drawing of Deadly Nightshade and on the back with text highlighting the magic and folklore of the plant. 

The pendant measures 15mm x 20mm and sits on a 45cm sterling silver chain. Presented in a simple jewellery gift box this pendant makes a wonderfully dark and beautiful gift.
